4 ways to spend your day - what to do during your stay with LLIT

While people stay with us they frequently ask what they can do while they are here. Below is an easy, fun day that you could do while staying with us, directly from our campground!

  1. Breakfast at the Dancing Goat

The Dancing Goat Café is a locally run and owned café and bakery where you find some of the best food in our province. It is, roughly, a seven minute drive from our campground along the Cabot Trail. It is the perfect place to have coffee and enjoy breakfast. Plus, you can take some amazing baked goods to go!

2. Tube the Margaree River

Come back to our campground, change into your bathing suit and hit the river for a lazy tube ride. Hundreds of people come through Margaree every week during the summer to experience this and you will be able to do it right from our campground! To book in advance, you can click here, bearing in mind that, even if you stay with us, our tubing spots fill up extremely quickly!

3. Hike the skyline trail

The Skyline trail is one of the boasted gems of the Cabot Trail and is located in our national park. It is roughly a 45 minute drive from here and it takes you along our winding coastline. The view at the end of the hike is truly breathtaking and is worth the hour and a half round trip.

4. Watch the sunset at the beach

On your way back to the campground, stop at the Margaree Harbour beach, just 10 minutes down the road. The sunsets here never disappoint and it is the perfect time relax on the shore and finish off your day.

Alternatively, there are actually two more beaches just up the coast which each offer their own unique view. Follow the road, past the harbour, to Whale Cove beach and Chimney Corner beach.
