Margaree River Multi-Day Paddle Expedition

Explore the North East Margaree River headwaters.

a Canadian heritage river Adventure

The Margaree River is one of the more scenic rivers on Cape Breton Island but just over half of the river is very rarely visited and hard to even gain access to. This adventure takes well up past its popular Atlantic Salmon fishing pools to its headwaters and into true wilderness. This weekend trip will require some white water navigating through some exciting class II rapids followed by an easy paddle exploring the lower river ending near LLIT HQ.
