About our campground
We offer close-to-off-grid camping on the Cabot Trail in a small campground. You're just minutes from Cape Breton's best beaches and local swimming holes on the Margaree River. We have a mix of unserviced campsites and fully equipped canvas tents.
The campsites are on a 100-year-old farm operated by Live Life In Tents. Freshwater, shared washroom facilities, and heated outdoor showers are on site. Wifi at the camp store with a common-use workspace, wifi, and a small shop to pick up anything you've overlooked before your trip.
Campsites are suitable for tent, car, van, or small RV camping.

Canvas Tents
Our canvas bell tents have been super popular for those wanting to camp but with a few extra comforts. Each tent is equipped with a queen bed, two single cots, a camp stove, cookware, a firepit, and picnic table.
The Eh! Frame
Our charming 8x10 A-frame cabin is located within the Live Life in Tents Campground. Perfect for solo travellers or couples, this cozy retreat offers a peaceful setting with all the basics for a comfortable stay.

Once you select your preferred campsite you can choose from various add-ons such as firewood, firestarters, camping gear rentals, river tubing, kayak rentals, and tours.

FAQs

All campsites include a firepit and picnic table.
Our A-Frames also include a BBQ, double bed, picnic table, and firepit.
Our Canvas tents include a coleman stove, queen bed, 2 single cots, picnic table, and firepit.

Check-in is any time after 3:00 pm. Our shop typically closes at 7:00 pm, if you plan to check-in after we close, info will be sent to your email with instructions.
Check-out is at 11am. We ask that you stop into the shop to let us know when you’re leaving.

For our basic campsites we allow up to 4 people or two tents per site.
A-Frames are 2 people max.
Canvas tents sleep 4 max.

Dogs are permitted in our campground at all of our basic campsites and A-Frames.
Dogs are not permitted in our Canvas Tents.

No, there is no power or wifi in our campground.
Power and wifi are available at our shop only.

Item All glamping & campsite bookings are fully refundable up to 14 days prior to booking. If canceled between 14 and 7 days prior to booking, the deposit (50% of the total) will be forfeited. If canceled less than 7 days prior to booking, the full balance of the booking will not be refunded.description

Our campsites are suitable for small campers, pop-up trailers and, small rv’s under 30’.
We do not have any services such as waste dumping or power hookups on site.
