Seawall Trail

The Seawall trail is a 48km thru-hike over some of the most rugged and breathtaking terrain on Cape Breton Island.

Difficulty: Advanced

Distance: 45-50kms

Duration: 4-days hiking (10-15km / day)

Elevation: approx 3000 ft (over 4 days)

Food: Meals provided

If you’re looking for a bucket list hiking experience this is it! Arguably the most difficult hike in Nova Scotia is the Seawall. This hike takes you well off-trail to some of the most remote and beautiful landscape you will not find anywhere else!

Margaree Packrafting Adventure

Difficulty: Intermediate / Advanced

Distance: 10km approx

Duration: 2 days on river | 5-6 hours of paddling a day

River Conditions: Lots of class 2 rapids with some flatwater

Food: Meals provided

Tour offered in May / Early June or November / December

This adventure takes well up past its popular Atlantic Salmon fishing pools to its headwaters and into true wilderness. This weekend trip will require some white water navigating through some exciting rapids followed by an easy paddle exploring the lower river ending near LLIT HQ.

Cross The Highlands Expedition

Duration: 7 Days (5 days trekking)

Distance: Approx 60 km +/-

The Cape Breton Highlands National Park is well known for its famous front country hiking trails but did you know that it also contains the two highest points in Nova Scotia as well as some amazing backcountry snowshoeing routes?

How to book.

  • To join any of our multi-day trips, participants must apply and complete a pre-trip questionnaire.

    Once one of our staff has reviewed it, we’ll contact you to set up a follow-up call to discuss the next steps.

  • Once the follow-up call is complete, you’ll be sent the registration information. Once completed you’ll be sent packing lists and food and gear requirement information.

  • Now it’s time to train and prepare for your adventure. We’ll be available to answer any questions leading up to the departure date.
