As our season comes to an end, we wanted to do one last event to go out on a high note! We’ve teamed up with Camp Cook’s Cache on a special guide hike to one of our favorite places in Cape Breton Island; Second Forks Falls. This hike takes you deep within the Margaree River Valley, through old-growth hardwoods stands and to an amazing 70ft+ slider waterfall. The fall colours are just peaking here in Margaree and we’ll be in the mix if it on this 16km hike. This hike is a bit more technical than many other hikes on the island so be prepared to get off-trail, scamper over rocks and even a river crossing but trust us it’s worth it!

Here are the details:

• The hike departs LLIT HQ @ 0900 and transportation is included. *Please meet at LLIT by 0830.

  • The hike is roughly 16km round-trip with two river crossings

• Lunch and snacks are provided by Camp Cook’s Cache.

• (optional) Camp for FREE at LLIT after the hike. Group bonfire and complimentary beverages included.

• $145.99+tax per person

• Limited space available (10 max)

• Please bring hiking boots, water shoes, or footwear for crossing the river (knee height water) poles and appropriate clothing.
