Anything That Floats Race 2023

It's time to get crafty, creative, and colorful once again!

Bring your brightest, fastest, and most whimsical float down to Tanner's Run on Saturday, August 6th for the Anything That Floats Race in Margaree!

Check-in starts at 1 pm - it's free to float, BUT we want to know about you and your 'boat.' The race begins at 2 pm and participants will float down the Margaree River from Tanner's Run to Doyle's bridge. If you're visiting or unfamiliar with the area, please look for signs between the Dancing Goat and Margaree Co-op. On the day of, you won't miss us!

As usual, there are two categories: 1) canoes and kayaks; 2) everything else. First, second, and third-place prizes will be awarded to the top three fastest canoes and kayaks. Three prizes will also be awarded to floats: Salvador Dali Award (most creative/artistic); Seaworthy Captain's Award (most seaworthy); Slow Poke Award (the float that doesn't look like it will float).

This long-running and volunteer-run community event is for all ages! Registration is FREE, but we have a selection of Tees and souvenirs for sale.

We are renting Tubes out for $15 a tube and donating all proceeds to the Margaree Area Development Association. Reserve your tubes below.
